FSG decide on new stadium
Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have decided to go ahead with plans to build a new stadium in Stanley Park, according to a report in The Telegraph.

No no please fucking no. I’m actually sitting here crying after reading the article. This is not okay. At first I thought it was cool to have American owners since I’m American but no go fuck yourself Henry. I hate you.
As much as I’d hate to see Anfield go, a renovation will only delay the inevitable. We can add more seats to Anfield and give it yet another facelift, but to keep revenue up and add allure to our club to keep the big names and big money here, we need to upgrade to a new stadium.
Anfield may soon be our old stadium, but that doesn’t mean we have to forget it forever. The history will always be there and a new stadium means new history. It means a brand new chapter in the legendary history that is Liverpool Football Club.
It will rush in a new era of English and European dominance that Liverpool is famous for and Liverpool’s fame will only grow bigger. The best can always get better, and this stadium will help us do that.
Plus, think of how deafeningly beautiful “You’ll Never Walk Alone” will sound in our new stadium.
i’m actually disappointed in some of the reactions. no, no ‘fuck you’s to the new owners because they have given the club so much in their short time, and will continue to improve the club in the future. it has been clear since the day they arrived that they wanted to renovate anfield but it just cannot be done financially. so listen to above, it’s about a new chapter in our history and we’ll never forget anfield and the great moments we had in it. so don’t be rash thrust your anger at the owners, they did the best they could at keeping anfield.

I mean… I understand it has to be done, but I don’t think it’s right. It’s ANFIELD, not some shite stadium like Telenor Arena in Norway we’re talking about.
The Newcastle fans says St James’ Park lost its soul by changing the name to Sports Direct Arena, and we have to get an all new stadium. I’m sorry, but it’s almost like I hope I don’t care about football any longer when they start building this thing which will get a sponsor name. Fuck it.
